Forget about Miley Cyrus , Taylor Swift is on a mission to dominate this year’s MTV Video Music Awards .
Cyrus may have been asked to host the awards two years after her controversial twerkathon , but her antics are unlikely to attract the global attention that Swift’s new video will.
The singer is set to debut her promo for “Wildest Dreams” at the VMAs next week, sharing a snippet to stir up premature fan interest.
She posted the ten second clip on Instagram and Twitter, writing: “Wildest Dreams music video preview. VMA night. Get ready. #WildestDreamsMusicVideo.”
Judging by the teaser, Swift’s latest horse, bird and zebra-themed video looks a lot better than Hunger Games wannabe “Bad Blood” .
Swift leads the VMA nominations with nine nods, followed by Ed Sheeran who is up for six gongs.
But as we all know, the VMAs aren’t about the winners, they’re about the performers - and in this case, a global social media outpouring about Swift’s new video.
