Now in its fourth season, The Met: Live in HD transmits live Metropolitan Opera performances in high definition to theaters around the world. On Saturday, November 7 at 1:00pm EST, the Met will present its third Live in HD broadcast of the season, of Puccini's Turandot.
A production by Franco Zefferelli, the Met's Turandot stars Maria Guleghina as the Chinese princess Turandot and Marcello Giordani as Calàf (singing the famous aria "Nessun Dorma").
Turandot will be transmitted to hundreds of movie theaters in more than 40 countries worldwide. In addition to the November 7 live transmission, encore performances are planned at some theaters.
