Taylor Swift once again dominated the MTV Video Music Awards this year, largely thanks to the 'Bad Blood' collaboration she made with her hero Kendrick Lamar.

The track won her video of the year, while 'Blank Space' brought her best female video.

Kendrick also won an award on his own for the sprawling video for 'Alright', while Fetty Wap was declared the artist to watch and 5 Seconds of Summer had, fittingly, the song of the summer.

The wins largely came at the expense of Ed Sheeran, Beyonce and Rihanna, while Mark Ronson's Uptown Funk arguably didn't do as well as expected at the ceremony.

The biggest news of the night came during Kanye West's acceptance of his vanguard award, when he announced he will run for president in 2020.
