Album: Alphabet Saints, Raptureland (Cadiz)

Alphabet Saints are singer Robert Christie and multi-instrumentalist Hamilton Lee, and Raptureland channels the spirit of early Suicide, Eno-era Roxy, Lou Reed circa Berlin and Bowie circa Station To Station.

Allusive and romantic, it's a Before Sunrise for grown-ups, mentioning Bucharest and Reykjavik in the first song and paraphrasing Leonard Cohen in the last. And simultaneously as linear as a train, and multi-layered as a millefeuille: quite a trick.
