Album: Carly Rae Jepsen, Kiss (604/Schoolboy/Interscope)
If you've not heard Jepsen's viral smash "Call Me Maybe" yet, then, well, you've probably already stopped reading this. The rest of Kiss is like opening a tweenager's diary (titles include "Tonight I'm Getting Over You") and setting it to synthy, house beats, but nothing has the crossover appeal of that debut single.
Not even "Tiny Little Bows", which bravely samples "Cupid". The best song is a duet with Justin Bieber, which probably tells you all you need to know.
