Voice, piano, sax. Tabor, Warren, Ballamy recorded live in Basingstoke, with Shakespeare, Burns, Housman and Trad Arr all getting the chamber jazz-folk treatment.

It's not hard to imagine the solemnity of the occasion. Which isn't to imply that this is not an agreeable exploration of melody, timbre and tone. It is. And Ballamy's role is key, as a sort of dancing foil to Tabor's plangent contralto. "As I Roved Out" is exceptionally lovely.
