What's a girl gotta do to get noticed? A decade after releasing her debut album, backing-singer tours with Kevin Costner (!) and Brandon Flowers later and Ortega is still Canada's best-kept country secret.

Little Red Boots should change all that. It's a jukebox-jumpin' take on straight-up Dolly with a smile behind its eyes and a rockabillyish skip in its step. Song titles such as "I'm No Elvis Presley" promise fun but iyou'd be wise to take Ortega seriously. A Jack White endorsement would do no harm.
