The new N-Dubz album spins bleakly believable stories of urban life over the trio's now-familiar R&B/pop-rap/clubland hybrid.

So there are tales of crack-dealing, mugging, Facebook stalking and, on the Dappy-Tulisa duet "Shoulda Put Something On", unwanted pregnancies. There's a whole pile of Brit-pack cameos, the b-word is slung around with abandon, and there's a bracing absence of romance, but that's their reality. Love it or hate it – and it can be hard to love – it's the sound of young Britain.
