James will forever be thought of as "the other one from Gorky's Zygotic Mynci", and there's little chance that Pictures in the Morning will change that.

The third solo album from the Pembrokeshire indie-folk singer, which features Gorkys bandmate Euros Childs on a handful of tracks, has its charms, but never threatens to tear your heart out. People sitting cross-legged at boutique festivals will lap it up, but the rest of the world will remain unmoved.
