Album: Those Dancing Days, In Our Space Hero Suits (Wichita)

Reviewed by Simon Price

The debut album from Those Dancing Days, a girl group from Stockholm, comes so long after their debut single that it feels like it ought to be their second.

'In Our Hero Space Suits' flits between classic Scandi-pop with a northern soul flavour and Americanised pop-rock. The quintet are far more enjoyable when they're in Cardigans mode than Kelly Clarkson mode (when Linnea Jonsson's over-expressive vocals have you imagining Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul telling her she's made it to boot camp).

Pick of the Album: Be smitten: 'Hitten'
