Album: Various artists, Philadelphia Intl Classics - Tom Moulton Remixes (Harmless)
The greatest ever act of remixage? Well, this would have to be a contender.
The originals date from Philly's pomp years in the 1970s, when the label was making its edifying contribution to the evolution of disco. Moulton was the "house" remixer and these 31 repointed tracks by Harold Melvin, Intruders, O'Jays, Three Degrees, Trammps, etc were (mostly) created at epic length for the cut-throat DJ-only market. Freshly available as a juicy eight-LP set. Num.
