Rise Against, Endgame
Thirteenth on Amazon's alternative rock chart, the sixth studio album from Chicago's alternative punk-influenced act Rise Against leads off with the first single, "Help Is On The Way," inspired by a visit to post-Hurricane Katrina New Orleans. This sixth studio album follows three gold releases, mixed by audio engineer Chris Lord-Alge (Rolling Stones, James Brown, Smashing Pumpkins) for Interscope Records. The Dodos, No Color
Recently hitting the top of The Hype Machine's list of 10 most blogged artists, the San Francisco indie trio The Dodos release their fourth album on Frenchkiss Records. The follow-up to '09's Time to Die, this nine-song collection features their dynamic hybrid sound of folkish guitar, ambient keyboards and experimental drumming with an African flavor, with vibraphone touches. The deluxe version includes vinyl, a T-shirt and poster.

Sixth among Amazon's new soundtrack releases, the 20-track album features the Ennio Morricone-inspired score by composer Hans Zimmer ( The Dark Night, Inception, Pirates of the Caribbean) and original songs by Los Lobos, including the Norteno-styled theme song "Rango." The top film in the US last weekend, the animated comedy-Western features the voice of Johnny Depp as a pet chameleon turned sheriff.
