THE PREMISE for Stella Street (9pm UK Play, right), John Sessions' and Phil Cornwell's impressionistic comedy, is that stars such as Jack Nicholson, Joe Pesci, Al Pacino and Jimmy Hill are all neighbours in a London suburb. Sessions as Keith Richards and Cornwell as Mick Jagger even run their own shop. After a critically acclaimed run on BBC2, satellite viewers can share in the absurdist humour from tonight.
Meanwhile, La Reine Margot (10pm FilmFour), a bloody tale of murder and betrayal among 16th-century costumed French aristocrats, premieres. Isabelle Adjani and Daniel Auteil are both excellent in a lively tale set around the St Batholomew's day massacre of 1572.
The US Open Tennis (2pm Sky Sports 2) continues with Greg Rusedski hopefully still in line for a place in the final.
