Radio: PICK OF THE DAY
Afternoon Play: Press the Hash Key Now (2.15pm R4)
Peter G Morgan's comedy drama deals with the difficulties of communication in the digital age. It follows a day in the lives of Lorna (Ruth Jones) and Joe (Julian Rhind-Tutt, right), a young couple who are going through a difficult period in their relationship. Having found some intimate text messages on Joe's mobile phone, sent by another woman, Lorna considers leaving him. The couple are accustomed to talking via e-mail and text though today their usual modes of communication are letting them down. Mobile phone calls drop out at key moments (at one stage Joe accidentally calls Hyderabad) and text messages become garbled, meaning there's only one thing for it - a real conversation.
