The Duke of Edinburgh, Master, attends the Annual Court and Luncheon at Trinity House, London EC3; and, as Founder and Chairman of the International Trustees of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award International Association, attends a reception at Buckingham Palace followed by a dinner at St James's Palace. The Prince of Wales visits Laigh Hall at Edinburgh Castle to see the recent restoration work; visits Castleview Community Centre, Craigmillar, Edinburgh; as President, the Prince's Trust, meets young people helped by the trust at the Palace of Holyroodhouse; hosts a reception for the Royal Company of Archers at the Palace of Holyroodhouse and presents the Queen's Prize medal; and hosts a dinner for Scottish Lord-Lieutenants and others at the Palace of Holyroodhouse. The Princess Royal, President, British Knitting and Clothing Export Council, attends the annual general meeting and luncheon at the Langham Hilton, London W1; and, as Commandant in Chief, FANY (Princess Royal's Volunteer Corps), attends a presentation and exercise by members of the Language Section at Mercury House, Duke of York's Headquarters, London SW3. The Duchess of Gloucester, Patron, National Asthma Campaign, opens the International Asthma Congress, Kensington Town Hall, London W8.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 1st Battalion The Duke of Wellington's Regiment mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Irish Guards.
