TELEVISION / Feedback
Disabled writer Allan Sutherland, co-author of Inmates, on the ITV Telethon: 'They claimed they made an effort with stereotypes of disabled people, but they claimed that last time. They had good window dressing: a disabled producer and presenter, but they didn't consult with disabled people in any broad, democratic way. Besides, the consultation would have been 'Which form of exploitation would you prefer?'. They don't see that being turned into a beggar is demeaning.'
