A quick check, before the BBC's Eldorado arrives to disturb the status quo, on the latest in the battle for soap supremacy. Coronation Street is currently topping the bill: latest viewing figures show an audience of 17.01m compared to an EastEnders audience of 14.99m. This is a turn- round on last year, when - with Eddie, in EastEnders, starting to square up to the Mitchell brothers, and Don, in Coronation Street, having just done a runner - EastEnders was ahead with 16.22m to the Street's 15.30m.
