Tuesday's 40 Minutes (BBC 2) featured a rape victim meeting an imprisoned rapist:

'It made gripping viewing but left me with a nagging sense of disappointment. That was my fault. I expected too much from the programme; I hoped for reconciliation, forgiveness, understanding; when they were not forthcoming I blamed Jane, the victim, for not delivering them.
