A FEW tickets still remain for a one-off triple bill of the best of Americana headed by Vic Chestnutt, promoting his sixth excellent album, The Salesman and Bernadette. He is backed up by the 14-strong ensemble of Lambchop (right), Nashville's purveyors of soulful country blues. Opening the show, and worth arriving early for, are Calexico - basically the rhythm section of cult favourites Giant Sand - whose current album, The Black Light, is a delightful slice of laid-back mariachi cool (Gomez fans take note).

There are few outfits around that you could almost guarantee will put in a cracking performance, but Bentley Rhythm Ace pull off a party vibe every time with their good-humoured big-beat sound interspersed with wacky intermissions and the employment of "toys" like their recent acquisition, a fire siren.
