Lesley Collier and Bruce Sansom are Odette/Odile and Siegfried in the lavish Swan Lake (Tues); Anthony Dowell's adaptation of Ashton's film The Tales of Beatrix Potter features with Ashton's The Dream (Wed) and Irek Mukhamedov is a brilliant Prince Rudolf in MacMillan's masterpiece Mayerling (Thurs).

Adventures in Motion Pictures (Grand Theatre, Leeds, 0532 459351, Fri). Matthew Bourne's zany new version of The Nutcracker.

Motionhouse (Ikon Gallery and The Dance Centre, Birmingham, 021-643 0708, Thurs-Sat). Inspired by Gabriel Garcia Marquez's magic realism, Deja- vu is a linked dance-and-art project. Spanish artist Rosa Sanchez has done the installation.
