St Matthew Passion (RFH, 071-928 8800, today). Sir David Willcocks makes a meal of it, starting at 11am with a break for lunch. Conventional but quality Easter fare with the Bach Choir and big name soloists.

Graham Scott (Purcell Room, 071-928 8800, tomorrow). Recital by the only British contender for this year's Van Cliburn Competition.

Wolfgang Holzmair (Wigmore Hall, 071-935 2141, Tues). The outstanding Austrian baritone with pianist Imogen Cooper in Schubert's Schwanengesang. See Show People, page 29.

St John Passion (Barbican, 071-638 8891, Fri). Christopher Hogwood and the Academy of Ancient Music offer a slimline, period alternative to the Willcocks line on Bach.
