Ann Widdecombe- Strictly Come Dancing
Widdecombe appeared on Strictly Come Dancing as a former MP, five months after she stood down as the Conservative MP for Maidstone and The Weald in 2010.
Her ungainly dancing was a funny sight to behold, but Widdecombe continued all guns blazing and she was eliminated after the ninth week. In her final week Judge Bruno Tonioli told her she looked like “a Dalek in drag” and that the dance was “more like Hello Trolley than Hello Dolly”, while Alesha Dixon said: “I think the honeymoon is over.”
What next: Widdecombe has managed to forge a career for herself on the stage. In 2011 she stared in the pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs alongside Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood, and is due to do another panto in High Wycombe this month. She will also appear in this year’s Strictly Christmas special.
