Observations: Let's hear it for Satanic Sluts

The suffix "gate" that has attended every scandal since Watergate, was inevitably used in coverage of the Jonathan Ross/ Russell Brand affair. But usually there is agreement on what comes before the gate. It's more difficult where TV celebs, actors and the characters they play are concerned.

Several papers resorted to "Wossygate". One paper called it "Sachsgate". Another called it "Manuelgate". Should the scandal resurface, then in honour of Mr Sachs's granddaughter's dance troupe, I claim copyright on Satanic Slutsgate.
