Michelle Dockery- Lady Mary Crawley
The 30-year-old actress who plays elder sister Mary Crawley has found fame in Hollywood, starring as Princess Myagkaya in Tom Stoppard’s Anna Karenina this year.
She has been cast in an aeroplane thriller called Non-Stop and will star alongside Julianne Moore and Liam Neeson. The film is due to be released in 2013.
She is also due to star in William Boyd’s TV drama Restless as Ruth Gilmartin, a girl who discovers her mother has been leading a double life as a spy.
Carmichael- Lady Edith Crawley
Carmichael currently stars as Sonya in the West End production of
Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya at the Vaudeville Theatre. She made headlines this autumn
when Royal Shakespeare Company founder Sir Peter Hall shouted at her in a
half-sleepy state during her performance.
Carmichael made another appearance on the stage in 2011, playing
two characters in David Hare’s Plenty
at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.
Away from the stage she starred as receptionist Sal in the 2011

Brown Findlay has been snapped up for the Hollwyood blockbuster
Winter’s Tale due for release in 2013. She stars alongside Will
Smith, Russell Crowe and Colin Farrell in this period drama set
between 19th century New York and present day Manhattan.
