CBS Television is going into production on a comedy pilot starring William Shatner, based on a Twitter account that has become a phenomenon, with 1,254,046 "followers."

Shatner plays a physician and father, whose grown-up son's "tweets" quote his often obscene witticisms. The working title at CBS of the series is "Bleep My Dad Says," an expurgated version of the official handle of Justin Halperin's Twitter account. The television version will also be less obscene than what can be found on the web version.

The 29-year-old Halperin, who now lives with his 74-year-old father again - who he thinks is "awesome," writes down the outrageous flippant things he says.

Here are some sample tweets:

"Your mother rented this film What Happens in Vegas. I thought it was going to be nonfiction, but it's fiction, and it's about some idiot."

"Don't touch the bacon, it's not done yet. You let me handle the bacon and I'll let you handle what ever it is you do. I guess nothing. "

"Who is this woman...Kate Beckinsale? Well, you can tell Kate Beckinsale she sucks."
(watching the Little League World Series) "These kids are all fat. I remember when you were in Little League...you were fat."
