Late night hosts mock Trump's 'sh*****e' comment

Following a recent report detailing how Donald Trump asked advisers “Why are we having all these people from s***hole countries come here?” referring to Haiti and various African countries.

Of course, late night comedians couldn’t resist mocking the President over the comments, starting with The Late Show host Stephen Colbert.

“Sir, they are not s***hole countries,” he told an audience. “For one, Donald Trump is not their president.” Colbert then talks about Trump’s alleged quotes about preferring immigrants from Norway.

On Comedy Central, Trevor Noah also criticised Trump. “Guys I don’t know how to break this to you, but I think the president might be racist,” he quipped. “Personally, as someone from South Sh*t Hole, I’m offended, Mr. President.”

“Not only does he think brown countries are sh*t-holes, he thinks, what, we’re never going to know what he said?” he said. “I mean, don’t get me wrong, it might take a few weeks. But as soon as the News Donkey reaches our village, we will be sooo mad!”

On the Norway comments, Noah added: “He didn’t just name a white country, he named the whitest – so white they wear moon-screen.”

Seth Myers — who recently hosted the Golden Globes — only spoke about the comments briefly, saying: “To be fair, maybe he meant it as a compliment, after all, Trump does all his best tweets when he’s sitting on a s**t hole.

Jimmy Kimmel had the final word: “I’m sure the fact the countries he described as ’s***holes’ are mostly populated by people of colour, and the immigrants he wants from Norway are not, is a coincidence. Because if it wasn’t, it would mean we voted for a racist. Like, a real one, and we’d have to get pitchforks and chase him out of the White House.”

“I also assumed the White House would deny he said it, but they did not. They just tried to spin it. It really is unfathomable. You just can’t believe this is the guy running our country.”

On CNN, Anderson Cooper choked up while presenting a segment on the people of Haiti, saying the White House could learn from their dignity.
