A major clue about who killed Lucy Beale will be revealed tonight at the National Television Awards.
The killer’s identity is due to be uncovered next month on BBC1 as part of the EastEnders 30th anniversary celebrations.
And now it has been confirmed that an unspecified clue will be brought on stage and unveiled live on air when the National Television Awards are broadcast on ITV tonight.
The clue will remain under lock and key and will be “guarded by tight security”, according to a statement released by event organisers.
The annual TV awards, which are voted for by the public, will also see Coronation Street stars pay tribute to Anne Kirkbride after the actress suddenly died earlier this week.
Her on-screen husband Bill Roache will lead the memorial on stage.
Sherlock, Doctor Who, Cilla and Gogglebox are among the other hit shows vying for gongs.
The Great British Bake Off is up for two awards, including Best Competition Show and Best Judge – which will see Mary Berry go head-to-head with Simon Cowell.Reuse content
