Ex-Coronation Street actress Helen Flanagan fleshes out exotic skins protest for Peta
Show all 2Former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan did her bit to protest against the skin trade by showing off some flesh of her own.
The actress - who was named the sexiest woman in the UK in an annual FHM magazine poll last month - was trying to discourage people from buying the skins of snakes and other exotic creatures.
As she posed with a nude poster of herself, Flanagan was almost bursting out of the corset she wore to the launch in London's Covent Garden.
The 22-year-old has teamed up with animal campaign group Peta just months after TV viewers saw her eating camel's toe, an ostrich's anus and lamb's testicles.
She tucked into the stomach-churning items when she was a contestant on ITV's I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! late last year.
In the new ad she is seen lying naked with scales on her body, next to the words: "Exotic skins belong in the jungle. Leave wildlife out of your wardrobe."
The actress - who played Rosie Webster in Corrie - said: "Spring is the perfect time to clean the cruelty from our closets.
"I know when people see footage of what happens to animals killed for their skins, they won't want anything to do with the exotic-skins industry and will join me in leaving wildlife out of their wardrobes."
