Viewers have been offered a sneak peek at ITV’s upcoming dramas in a new first-look trailer for the channel.

Snippets of footage show Jodie Whittaker breaking down in Broadchurch and a glimpse at new series The Trials of Jimmy Rose, starring Tom Cullen and Ray Winstone.

The former returned to small screens on Monday to rave reviews, while the latter follows the life of infamous armed robber Jimmy Rose, who realises that his family has moved on while he has been in prison.

The return of period drama Mr Selfridge is also hinted at, with Jeremy Piven reprising his role as charismatic US entrepreneur Harry Selfridge.

Sheridan Smith is seen asking “Did you kill my husband?” in a scene from three-part drama Black Work, while Christopher Eccleston is seen playing Robert in atmosphere thriller Safe House.

Other shows to feature in the 60-second “Where Drama Lives” teaser include Arthur & George with Martin Clunes, World War II drama Home Fires and true story Code of a Killer, starring David Threlfall and John Simm.
