Game of Thrones finally took Emilia Clarke's advice and 'freed the penis' (NSFW)

And then some.

Asked about her frequent Game of Thrones nude scenes for the millionth time recently, Daenerys Targaryen actress Emilia Clarke said that rather than cut back on female nudity in the show, she wanted to see equal opportunity nudity. "Free the penis," she declared.

Well tonight, the show (which leaked early) certainly did.

One minute Arya was watching an acting troupe perform a farce on the major events from the last few seasons, the next we cut to an extreme close-up of one of the cast members' members.

The Joffrey actor was ostensibly checking it for warts, but the shot really served no purpose narrative-wise, and essentially seemed like the director was just throwing in a "see, we will show male nudity, and did you really want to see that?"

"I'm so surprised that they gave us a close shot of an actual d*ck," one viewer commented on Reddit. "I thought the US frowns on male nudity [on screen]."

Naturally, the moment was then balanced out with a similarly random boob shot.

"There's plenty of female nudity [on Game of Thrones], myself included, and I feel like… I think we should get some equal male nudity and female nudity," Clarke told Conan O’Brien on his chat show. "I think it is a discussion that should be had."

The acting troupe's performance, which Arya was scoping out for an assassination, involved a couple of famous faces - namely Richard E. Grant and Brass Eye's Kevin Eldon.

Who is Azor Ahai?

This episode's big moment went to Hodor however - there's more on that here.
