'White men over 35 are now obsolete, that's why they're voting for Donald Trump', says Michael Moore
Moore's new live performance film sees him imagine what the world will be like with Clinton and Trump as president
Michael Moore has put the swell of support for Donald Trump down to ageing, white men feeling alienated in the modern world.
The filmmaker made the surprise announcement today that he has made in a secret a film about the Republican nominee called Michael Moore in Trumpland.
Moore notes in the film that “white men over 35 are obsolete” in the 21st century, adding that: “guys know it and that's why they're at the Trump rallies”.
He has been a vocal opponent of Trump’s and is hoping to get as many eyeballs as possible on the film through VOD ahead of the election.
Why was Trump creeping behind Clinton at the debate?
Show all 13Moore also called for people to “look for the good in Hillary Clinton” and defended women in general.
“No women invented a hydrogen or atomic bomb, and no girls have gone into schools to shoot them up. … We're actually quite safe from 51 percent of the population,” he explained.
“Whatever you're afraid of does not wear a dress — or a pantsuit.”
Trump and Clinton take part in the final TV debate tonight - you can watch it here.
