Sir Tom Jones 'quits The Voice'
Wednesday 14 August 2013
Sir Tom Jones is reportedly the third big name to quit BBC talent show The Voice, leaving just Will.i.am on the coaching team.
Despite winning the first series with Leanne Mitchell, Sir Tom is reported to be following Jessie J and Danny O’Donoghue who quit the show after series two.
The pair announced they were leaving to concentrate on other projects.
Partially-sighted singer Andrea Begley won this year's competition, but audiences for the second series fell well behind those of the first and couldn't compete with ITV rival show the X Factor.
Commentators have questioned the value of winning the show after debut winner Leanne Mitchell sold fewer than 1,000 copies of her album in its first week.
The BBC said that the full coaches' line up for the third series will be announced in due course.
