Having been on a break for some time, Stephen Colbert returned by immediately lampooning the current President of the United States and disgraced presenter Matt Lauer.

“Wow,” Donald Trump posted to Twitter, reacting to new that Lauer — who has hosted the Today Show since 1997 — was fired by NBC after allegations of sexual misconduct came to light.

Colbert quipped: “I’m still not used to a President typing the word ‘wow’. That’s like if the first draft of the Gettysburg Address started ‘Holy Guacamole, this war sucks’.”

The Late Late Show host went on to call the President a hypocrite, highlighting a report stating more than a dozen women have accused Trump of improper conduct or sexual assault.

“Listen up, you don’t get to comment!” Colbert quipped. “That is the pot calling the kettle at 3 am and asking what she’s wearing.”

Colbert then turned to the infamous Access Hollywood tape in which Trump famously said he could grab women “by the pussy”.

According to a recent New York Times piece, Trump has told people privately that he didn't make the comment. “We don’t think that was my voice,” the President has reportedly said.

“Quick tip – if you are going to say something that’s really crazy, don’t refer to yourself as ‘we’,” Colbert joked. Watch below.

Trump called for NBC executives to be fired amid the Lauer firing. “When will the top executives at NBC and Comcast be fired for putting out so much Fake News,” he Tweeted.
