Stacey Solomon said a smiley goodbye to the snow when she was eliminated from winter sports competition The Jump.

For the first time in this series, the show saw its female celebrities go head to head with the male competitors.

Made In Chelsea's Louise Thompson faced former England rugby captain Mike Tindall in the parallel slalom, but was left facing the jump-off after losing to him by just three hundredths of a second.

But she triumphed over Solomon in the jump, after the singer lost in her race to British Paralympian Jon-Allan Butterworth.

Joey Essex beat Chloe Madeley when they took to the slope, leaving her to face TV stuntman Steve-O in the jump-off, and Commonwealth Games gold medal-winning heptathlete Louise Hazel who was beaten by former JLS singer JB Gill.

The final three race losers then faced The Jump.

Chloe was up first, taking on the middle jump, and looked confident as she jumped 16 metres, followed by Steve-O, who managed the night's biggest leap at 17 metres.

Stacey's last hope was her jump of 13.5 metres being better than any effort Louise Hazel could muster, but the athlete outdid the presenter by a metre and a half, knocking her out of the competition.

The next round will see the remaining competitors take each other on in the bobsleigh.
