OUR FULL REVIEW OF THE SEASON 8 PREMIERE

The Walking Dead season eight begins this weekend with the US drama's 100th ever episode.

Episode one, titled 'Mercy,'will air in the US on 22 October 9pm EST and will air weekly until 17 December where the AMC series will go on its midseason hiatus. The eighth season will conclude with eight more episodes from February.

Those UK fans, however, will have to wait a tiny bit longer.

FOX will air new episodes the day after they’re shown in the US, with the season premiere being screened at 9pm on 23 October.

Now TV subscribers are in for a treat also with the episodes becoming available to stream immediately after.

You can read our spoiler-free of the first episode here as well as our exclusive chat with Lennie James - who plays Morgan - in which he teased the one thing more dangerous than Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) in the forthcoming run of episodes.

We have also compiled a rundown of everything we know about the new season which will see Rick lead All Out War against the Saviours.

The Walking Dead season eight is available to watch in the UK on NOW TV (with a 14 day free trial) and Fox and in the US on AMC
