True Detective season 2: Taylor Kitsch joins drama alongside Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn
The actor said he was 'itching' to be part of the hit HBO series
Taylor Kitsch has confirmed he will join the cast of True Detective for its second series.
The actor, who had been rumoured to join the hit HBO drama series in a lead role, has confirmed he will be part of the drama.
“I’ve just been prepping. It’s almost a full year since I’ve been on camera, so I’m itching, man. I’m overdue. It was tough taking a year, out, keeping a finger crossed that I was going to get True” he said in an interview with Adweek.
According to Adweek, the sources involved in the negotiation said the deal is close but not complete.
However, Kitsch confirmed he took part in filming the second series on location in California.
Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn have also been confirmed to join True Detective series two.
Farrell is set to play Ray Velcoro, a detective whose allegiances are torn between a corrupt police department and the mobster who owns him, while Vaughn will play a career criminal in danger of losing his empire.
True Detective season two is due to air on TV next summer.
