Anyone watching The X Factor on Saturday night will remember, quite possibly with horror, “fabulous Sloane” Chloe Jasmine Whichello who impressed the judges with her elegant old-fashioned style and unique singing voice.

The 23-year-old divided Twitter with her royal-sounding accent and theatrical personality, as her name quickly began trending across the UK. Some loved her soulful voice and Marilyn Monrow looks while others branded her annoying and stuck-up.

The aspiring star performed Ella Fitzgerald’s “Black Coffee” for Simon Cowell, Mel B, Louis Walsh and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, all of whom sent her through to the next round.

“You’re one I’m gonna remember,” gushed Mr Syco himself.

But this was not Chloe Jasmine’s first time on the hit TV talent contest, as she first auditioned eight years ago.

“If everybody in the world was to know who I was – ‘ooh she’s won The X Factor, look what she’s done’ – that would be really fun!” she said back in 2006.

The young wannabe’s dreams ended there as she was rejected for being “too over the top” in her sparkly pink cowboy hat, with Cowell calling her “every parent’s nightmare” (but not before she threw said hat to the floor and left the room in trademark dramatic fashion).

Chloe Jasmine describes herself on her Facebook page as “fabulously British, irrepressible, constantly learning and thriving on the beauty of creation".

For those of you wondering where you have seen Chloe Jasmine’s perfectly made-up face recently, she is also known for her modelling career and appeared on Naomi Campbell’s Sky Living reality series The Face.
