Crisis in Six Scenes Trailer

We're a matter of weeks away from seeing the long-gestating Woody Allen TV series that was greenlit by Amazon last year.

Preceding the first episode of Crisis in Six Scenes, which will be available to view on Amazon Prime on 30 September, is the first full trailer showing Allen in action alongside stars Miley Cyrus and Elaine May.

The director, whose most recent film was Café Society, has written and directed the entire thing. He explained how he was initially lured by the offer because he believed it would be "an easy pay cheque."

Crisis in Six Scenes will last for just the one season, taking place in the 1960s during turbulent times in the U.S. when a middle-class suburban family is visited by a guest who turns their household upside down.

Rachel Broshnan (House of Cards) and John Magaro (The Big Short) will also star.

The comedy series, each episode of which is 30 minutes in length, marks Allen's first foray into television.
