X Factor 2014: Tulisa returns as a guest judge, Louis Walsh confirms

The former N-Dubz singer was on the judging panel for two series of the singing competition

Tulisa Contostavlos has returned to this year’s X Factor as a guest judge, Louis Walsh has confirmed.

The former N-Dubz singer, who was on the judging panel for two series of the singing competition, was recently cleared of allegations that she had brokered a drug deal after the case was thrown out of court.

Walsh said: “Because I got to know her for two years on the show and because she's had a really tough time, and I just thought I'd give her a ring and I asked Simon and he said yes, everyone said yes, and it was a brilliant time and she's looking great.

“She's back and she's got her mojo back and she deserves it, she's a really good girl.”

Contostavlos, 26, accompanied Walsh during the judges' houses stage to help him decide which contestants should go through to the live shows.

Contostavlos said she became “a paranoid wreck” and felt her life was over after being caught up in a sting arranged by Mazher ‘Fake Sheikh’ Mahmood of The Sun on Sunday.

He has since been suspended by the newspaper, pending an internal investigation.

Contostavlos appeared on the eighth and ninth series of the X Factor; during the former she mentored the girl band Little Mix, who won the competition.

The X Factor returns to ITV tomorrow (30 August) at 8pm.
