It's all here – from the sinking of the Titanic to the climactic cricket match, via Dame Maggie's peerless put-downs, the Battle of the Somme, Matthew and Mary's marital difficulties, the 1918 flu epidemic, Lord Grantham's bad investments, the tragedy of Lady Sybil and, of course, the ongoing saga of boring old Bates.

Three series of high-grade historical hokum (plus last year's Christmas special) distilled into 24 episodes of top toff telly tosh. Unmissable.
