Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968) is based on a children's novel written by Ian Fleming for his son Caspar. Ian Fleming took his inspiration for the car from a series of aero-engined racing cars built by Count Louis Zborowski in the early 1920s, christened ‘Chitty Bang Bang’.

An eccentric professor invents wacky machinery, but can't seem to make ends meet. When he invents a revolutionary car, a foreign government becomes interested in it, and resorts to skulduggery to get their hands on it.
