Holly Jacobs

Holly Jacobs, PhD is the Founder, President, and Executive Director of Cyber Civil Rights Initiative (CCRI), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit advocating for technological, social, and legal innovation to fight online abuse. She has a BA from Boston College in Psychology, and an MS and PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Florida International University. While pursuing her graduate degrees, Dr. Jacobs became a victim of nonconsensual pornography. After several failed attempts to receive help from law enforcement, she launched CCRI's first campaign, the End Revenge Porn (ERP) campaign, in August 2012 to provide advocacy and support to victims of nonconsensual pornography. Since then, CCRI has supported over 2,000 online harassment victims worldwide and started a 24-hour national helpline; assisted in the drafting of 22 US state bills, D.C., and a federal bill against nonconsensual pornography; helped 11 US states pass criminal "revenge porn" laws; and enlisted lawyers across the US to provide pro/low bono services to victims.
