Fair trade jewellery
Bronze inlay necklace
This necklace features green flecked bone pendants suspended from layered strands of tiny bronze hued beads. It's made in India by Trade Alternative Reform Action (Tara). Tara was founded in 1973 to campaign against child labour and promote skilled local artisans by providing advance payments and long-term contracts. A large amount of jewellery that ends up in shops in the West has been put together by young children working for over 12 hour shifts. Tara only employs adults and has established 16 schools and training centres for children from poor families, which over 700 child labourers have so far attended.

Be seen, be safe
Micro Bike Front and Rear Wind-up Torch Light
The ideal present for the cyclist in your life, these wind-up bike lights make the most environmentally friendly form of transport that little bit greener. Just one minute's winding gives enough power to keep the LEDs lit for an hour and a half, and fully charged they should stay lit for about five hours. There's no need for batteries that usually end up in landfill, and no need for replacement bulbs either, as the LEDs have a lifespan of 100,000 hours. Pack contains one white and one red lamp, each with three different light modes, and two adjustable bicycle clamps to fix them to the frame.

Eco spa experience
Titanic Spa, Yorkshire
Titanic Spa is based in a former textile mill in Linthwaite, Huddersfield and prides itself as much on its eco credentials as its beauty treatments. A combined heat and power unit uses chippings from sustainable trees and provides all of the heat and a large amount of the spa's electricity. The mill is also fitted with solar panels and has its own borehole that pumps pure Yorkshire water into the spa for the chlorine-free swimming pool. A Christmas Gift to Sparkle voucher can be redeemed for a full day's pampering, including a Decleor Taster Facial and Elemis' Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Glow plus lunch in the bistro.
