As Severn Trent have already admitted that they released the cyanide and raw sewage into the river they should now be prosecuted by the Environment Agency for endangering life.
Perhaps the CEO of Severn Trent should take the ultimate responsibility, after all he earns enough.
Instead of a fine perhaps Stafford Crown Court will consider a custodial sentence this time.
Maybe this is the best encouragement to get polluters to clean up their act.
