Extraordinary footage of the moment a Horned Lizard expelled a stream of blood from its eyes, warding off an attack from a dog, is one of the highlights of a documentary called Nasty by Nature being screened tonight on Nat Geo Wild.
From rolling around in faeces to vomiting on themselves, the documentary examines some of the weirdest and most revolting activities animals perform in order to survive.
