And which of them contain preservatives like parabens or other endocrine disruptors? Low-level exposure might have adverse biological effects. Health effects could include a range of reproductive problems, impaired immune functions and various cancers.
Cosmetic companies say the quantities used are absolutely safe, but I wonder. They are absorbed by our skin and will they still be safe when accumulated over time...? Ten years, twenty years or thirty years of parabens?
I prefer to apply the precautionary principle and buy certified organic make up. There's plenty of choice out there and it's competitive in price as well (although I wouldn't put my health at risk for any price).
