Treat your mum to a beautiful bouquet this Mothering Sunday, with one of our recommendations that cover all budgets and tastes.

1. Paul Thomas The Maddox: from £45, Paul Thomas Flowers

Nobody in their right mind would put corals, pinks and yellows together, would they? Paul Thomas has and it actually works magnificently because of the clashing colours, not in spite of them. Combining candy pop scabious, roses, tulips, gelda and sprigs of mimosa, it’s a fabulously unconventional mix that comes in multiple sizes.

The Verdict: Mother's Day flowers

Clashing colours doesn’t sound like a top selling point for a posy of flowers, but Paul Thomas manages to make a masterpiece of pinks, corals and yellows with The Maddox. For something more traditional, M&S Large Mother’s Day Tulips Gift Bag is gorgeous, while the Scented Narcissi is a winner for mums who like their florals with strong fragrance. The Aldi Jam Jar Posy is a steal for under a fiver, while our best luxury option this year comes from Moyses Stevens, with its stunning Antiqua.
