Sissinghurst Castle Garden
Vita Sackville-West, the creator of Sissinghurst, was a huge fan of old rose varieties, with their romantic French names. Don't miss the White Garden, with its vast rambling rose, Rosa mulliganii, which extends over the borders like a lacy parasol. Visit in late June or early July for the best display
