Trends: Nude is no longer rude

"The basic hang-up that the body must be covered on all occasions is being eroded," says British Naturism's Andrew Welch – and, it seems, more and more Brits agree. Held in Cornwall, Nudefest 2008 (www.british-naturism.org.uk), in its second year, has everything a regular summer festival offers – music, poetry readings, yoga – though all in the buff.
Greek naturist holiday resort Vassaliki (www.vasnat.com), set up last year by a British couple, is close to full occupancy, thanks to its mix of poolside lounging and island-hopping, while nudism specialist Peng Travel (www.pengtravel.co.uk) says it is enjoying its busiest year. And for those who fancy experiencing France au naturel, last month saw the inaugural annual naturist trade fair, at Parisian club Héliomonde (www.france4naturisme.com).
