West Ham close to sealing £10.75m deal for Jarvis

West Ham United have agreed a deal worth a potential £10.75m for Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Matt Jarvis. The fee was settled between the clubs on Wednesday night and the 26-year-old England international is in London to discuss personal terms. West Ham will pay £7.5m up front with add-ons taking the deal beyond £10m.

West Ham manager Sam Allardyce is hopeful of completing a deal before tomorrow's trip to Swansea City.

Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins hopes to tie up a deal for Celtic midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng by the weekend. "He'll come over here [from South Korea] and hopefully on Friday we can get things finalised," said Jenkins. "We've agreed everything in principle."

Celtic accepted an offer for Ki with manager Neil Lennon describing the fee of around £6m as "good business". The player won bronze as part of South Korea's Olympic team at London 2012.

Watford have signed veteran centre-back Marco Cassetti from Serie A club Udinese on a season-long loan. The 35-year-old is the ninth player to join the Hornets since the Pozzo family took over the club and Gianfranco Zola was appointed manager. And he is the seventh to arrive from either Udinese or Spanish side Granada, clubs also owned by the Pozzos.

Bury have signed Northern Ireland striker David Healy on a 12-month deal. The 33-year-old was a free agent after leaving Rangers in the summer and had recently approached former club Preston in the hope of earning a contract. Healy is his country's record goalscorer, having hit the net 35 times in 93 senior international appearances.

Bury have also added former Leicester City midfielder Shane Byrne to their squad and the club hope both players will be involved against Coventry on Saturday.
